The bill (Reg. No. 1245) suggests refining legal mechanism of regulating the retail sales of alcoholic beverages, beer and tobacco products. The subject of law of legislative initiative believes that such refinement should limit the number of points of sale of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products in populated areas; separate the purchase of these goods from any other ones; extend authorities of local self government in regard to regulation and control over retail sales of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products, etc.
During the discussion, attention was focused of the conclusion by the Central Scientific Experts Office of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariat.

Following the results of discussion, the decision was taken to refer the bill for refinement to the specialized Committee and, thereat, to consider the address by the Public Entrepreneurs’ Association.
